Job Summary

Kforce is seeking a Project Manager in Juno Beach, FL, responsible for coordinating internal and external resources for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role involves managing project development teams, defining technical scope, optimizing project variables, and supporting negotiations. Key duties include coordinating with various departments, managing financial models, sourcing contracts, and presenting progress to management, ensuring projects meet schedules and financial feasibility.

Must Have

  • Support E&C engineering team with technical attributes for designs
  • Support E&C cost estimating team for financial model
  • Actively seek and leverage market data to ensure financial model is healthy
  • Present financial model to respective business unit(s) and actively manage financial model through executive budget approvals
  • Competitively source, negotiate and execute commercial contracts for critical services
  • Engage in a variety of software applications to support activities
  • Manage critical data and deliverables as well as report on key indicators
  • Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives to scale for growth
  • Regular presentations/briefing on current progress, issues and risk mitigation

Job Description

This position is responsible for daily project coordination of internal and external resources to support Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and activities from Early Stage up to the point for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the Engineering and Business Unit (E&C).

Duties:

  • Critical coordination of highly matrixed project development teams to ensure resources are focused on the right activity at the right time to meet project schedule
  • Coordinating with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, etc., to ensure all project variables are identified and incorporated
  • Development of the project's technical scope
  • Optimization of project variables to improve both technical and financial feasibility
  • Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations
  • Support development teams with jurisdictional needs
  • Coordinate engineering, estimating and procurement requirements
  • Support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes for the development of designs
  • Support the E&C cost estimating team for development of financial model
  • Actively seek out and leverage market data to ensure financial model is healthy
  • Present financial model to respective business unit(s) and actively manage financial model through executive budget approvals
  • Competitively source, negotiate and execute commercial contracts for critical services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC services
  • Engage in a variety of software applications to support your activities, manage critical data and deliverables as well as report on key indicators
  • Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives to scale for growth
  • Regular presentations/briefing on current progress, issues and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or Finance/Accounting with experience in related engineering and of renewable energy projects preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with electricity markets, renewables, and/or battery projects is a plus
  • Excel skills are preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
